Rajasthan Voluntary Health Association RVHA is a non profit registered society formed in 1991 with an affiliation of Voluntary Health Association of India VHAI with a network of more than 150 NGOs in Rajasthan linking together more than 1500 work force across the state RVHA is one of the largest health and development networks in the state RVHA advocates people centered policies for dynamic health planning and programme management in Rajasthan. RVHA initiate and support innovative health and development programmes at the grassroots with the active participation of the people RVHA with a mission to make health a reality for the purpose of state by promoting community health social justice and distribution of health services in the state RVHA helps to achieve its goal through campaign policy research advocacy need based training media interventions publications and resource centre We initiate and support innovative health and development programmes at the grassroots with the active participation of the people RVHA strives to build up a strong health movement in the state for a cost-effective preventive promotive and rehabilitative health care system We work towards a responsive public health sector and responsible private sector with accountability and quality service RVHA promotes health issue of human right and development RVHA is committed to promote social justice equality and human rights in the provision and distribution of health services for all with emphasis on improving the health status and quality of life of the people Primarily RVHA is focusing on capacity building training and research RVHA members are spread out of all Districts of Rajasthan Major projects undertaken are Village health and sanitation Programs Integrated Water Resource Management program Targeted intervention projects Tobacco Control Program an initiative of Bloomberg RVHA itself has a skilled manpower with the vast experience both in the Development sector and the corporate sector which has enhanced made and effective coordination between the bureaucrat and the politician which resulted in achieving the desired result in the record time Organizations major areas of work Health Education Water women Empowerment Conducted a state wide study on Health Hazards Due to Non optimal Fluoride Content in ground Water of Rajasthan Awarded the status of Nodal agency by the Department of medical and health Implemented Malaria Control Program in western Rajasthan Implemented Village contact Drive for vector borne disease control program Well known State Level Resource Center for Total Tobacco Control Establishment Member of several state level committees State Health Society State Human Rights Commission State level committee for tobacco control etc
