With our aim of supporting Swachh Bharath Swachh Vidyala Abhiyaan we have built toilet blocks in 11 schools of Rajasthan with 83 sanitation facilities till Feb ’17 & 71 additional toilet facilities would be added in 9 schools by the end of march’17 for which the work is under progress. The total sanitation facilities by end of this fiscal would be 153 nos in 20 government schools of Jaipur & Alwar District of Rajasthan.

All toilet blocks being created are of concrete in nature with proper arrangement of soak pit & septic tank facility. They also have proper wash counters for hand wash at appropriate height. Water proofing on the roof of the all toillet blocks will make them last long. Proper ventilations were given along with heavy doors. Girls and boys toilet facilities are kept quite seperate. Electrical fitting with lights were also given in all toilet blocks.

Having toilets and water is a basic necessity in schools; however it is not available in many rural schools in India. Due to this, children are irregular to school and eventually drop out. This project will help to build in toilets and maintain them, provide running and clean drinking water for school children in rural schools. The expected impact of the project is better health and improved school attendance and reduction in school drop outs among the project villages of Rajasthan.

We strongly support the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan started by our Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi under which we also wish to contribute and create a neat and clean Bharat which is hygienic in all respect for all communities irrespective of their standard of living.

When the girl student reaches the age where she realises this lack of female toilets in the school she leaves her education midway. As they leave their education midway they remain uneducated. Our daughters must also get equal chance to quality education. After 60 years of independence there should have been separate toilets for girl students in every school. But for the past 60 years they could not provide separate toilets to girls and as result the female students had to leave their education midway.

— Narendra Modi

We believe that proper sanitation  facility is essential for a healthy childhood. School plays a vital role in inculcating useful skills amongst students on health & hygiene. The hygiene behavior learned at school level not only have a permanent impact on lifelong healthy practices but also bearing on the health behavior of family member which ultimately effects the community as a whole. Water & sanitation are two very important issues at the school level. Most of the school does not have proper water & sanitation facility due to which children can't adopt good hygiene behavior.

Hero MotoCorp after going through the various concerns decided to stop drop out, improve attendance, improve health & inculcate the proper hygiene awareness among children started the initiative of providing  a sustainable solution in project form by creating toilet facilities in Govt.Schools.
